This Project was submitted to Parallax by John Powell of JP Aerospace

Davis, California private aerospace company JP Aerospace "America's other space program" uses six BASIC Stamp® microcontrollers in their rocket to control altimeters, GPS, and radio modems. The picture above from the Black Rock Desert in Nevada shows a ground-level test launch and preparations to float a launch pad to 100,000 feet (to launch the rocket from a higher elevation and achieve 80 miles above sea level).
