Prices
Prices for each product are published and maintained on this web site. All customers are able to place online orders on the site. Please contact our sales department if you have any questions regarding our policies, pricing, and availability.
Web Special: Parallax offers special online sales and discounted items online and occasionally on eBay®. Often times, this special pricing is reserved for online orders only. Phone-in orders do not qualify for the special pricing.
Online Coupon Codes: Occasionally, Parallax presents offers through online Coupon Codes. These online coupons are extremely time-sensitive and are for qualifying online orders only. In order to receive the discount, you must click on "Click Here to Enter a Coupon!" on the online Order Summary page. After entering the coupon code exactly as it was presented to you, click on the "Submit Coupon" button. Then you may proceed to check out as if you were placing a standard online order. Join our promotional email list to have the opportunity to receive coupons.
Online Orders Online orders may be placed anytime through our secure server on www.parallax.com. Online orders require Visa, MasterCard, or American Express and are shipped UPS or USPS. Orders received before 2 p.m. PST will be shipped the same business day if all items are in stock; orders made with US Mail as a shipping provider might not ship out the same day as the order being placed regardless of whether the products are in stock. Orders received after 2 p.m. will be processed for shipment the following business day (Parallax's regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. PT). All online orders are delivered Monday through Friday, unless you call our Customer Service Department at (888) 512-1024 in advance to request a Next Day Air Saturday delivery for an extra charge (usually $15 plus the cost of a Next Day Air shipment).
CVV2/CID Codes: This is the three or four-digit security code that is printed on credit cards. For your safety and security, we require that you enter your card's verification number. The three-digit security code appears in reverse italic at the top of the signature panel or at the most right-hand side in the signature panel on the back of Visa and MasterCards. For American Express Cards, the security code is a small four-digit number printed on the front of the card on the right-hand side. Please note: on UK cards, these codes may be printed either on the left or middle of the signature area and consist of a four-digit number followed by the three-digit number in reverse italic.

Printed Catalog: Our most recent Product Catalog may be shipped to US addresses. Delivery time is 6-8 weeks. Request a copy here sales department or request with any paid order.
Phone Orders: Phone orders may be placed by telephone during the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT. Customers in the continental United States may call toll free (888) 512-1024, and international customers dial (916) 624-8333.
Fax: Purchase Orders may be submitted by fax to the attention of the Sales Department at (916) 624-8003 (see purchase order policy).

Purchase Order Policy Customers who elect to purchase using Net 30 days payment terms are required to submit a written or printed company purchase order. Net 30 Customers must pre-pay their first order by check or credit card. All public schools are exempt from pre-paying their first order. Purchase Orders must include the following information:
Credit Reference: We require that you fax a standard credit sheet to us in order to set up an account with our company. This should include at least three trade references and banking information. Please note that the first purchase order will not be processed immediately because we must first approve the account. It takes approximately two to three days to process a credit sheet. A customer service representative will call only if there are necessary adjustments or corrections that need to be made.
Signature: An authorized signature must be on the purchase order. This signature constitutes the seller's (Parallax, Inc.'s) acknowledgement of the buyer's request and shall become a binding contract containing the terms and conditions set forth by both parties.
Purchase Order Number: A purchase order number must be stated on the purchase order.
Shipping and Billing Address: A shipping address and billing address must be clearly stated on the purchase order. Please include a contact name, telephone, and fax number of your purchasing representative as well as an Accounts Payable contact.
Shipping: All shipping is prepaid and added to our invoice unless otherwise stated on your purchase order. Please include the statement "Prepay and Add Shipping" on your P.O. unless you have a designated shipping account with UPS or FedEx. We also require that a preferred delivery method be stated on the purchase order. If this information is not stated, we will ship the order UPS Ground.
Terms: All terms are Net 30. This must be indicated on your signed purchase order.
Tax Status: Please advise as to whether your order is taxable, non-taxable, or reseller. If your order is tax-exempt, we must have a copy of your reseller's certificate before your order is processed.
Description and Pricing: Include the product name, stock code, and price. We also request that quantity and unit pricing is accurate, as these terms are non-negotiable.
Minimum Balance: Purchase orders have a minimum balance of $100.
International Customers International customers should consider using our distribution channels:
International customers placing orders online may choose UPS Worldwide Express shipping option only. However, the cost of shipping will be significant. Parallax is not responsible for any brokerage, customs fees, or country taxes. The actual value of all orders is indicated on the invoice, and restatements using lower values are not permitted. The cost of the order will be higher than if you use one of our distributors.
We encourage international customers to purchase through our distributors. Distributors provide reasonable prices as a result of consolidating their shipments, working with local customs offices, and using preferred freight carriers. This usually results in a savings for the international customer. Find a distributor.
Shipping Options Stock Availability and Back Orders: We take every effort to ensure adequate stock at Parallax, Inc., but we periodically run out of products. You will only pay for items when we ship them to you. If you order items that are out of stock and choose the "Ship Partial Order" option at checkout, then backordered items will ship separately, and you will be charged an additional shipping fee when those items are shipped to you. Your original shipping charges will be adjusted downward (based on weight and dimensions) to reflect the cost of only the items sent. The backorder shipments will be shipped the same method unless you contact us at sales@parallax.com to specify another shipping method.
Domestic Order Shipping Options: Domestic orders may be shipped using UPS or USPS. Actual rates for online orders will vary depending on the shipping location.
Sales Tax Unless you have a reseller's permit or tax exemption certificate on file with us, all orders shipped to California will be charged 7.25% sales tax; all orders shipped to Indiana will be charged 6.00% sales tax: effective April 1, 2008 Indiana's sales tax rates will increase to 7.00%. Submission of a certificate is not retroactive; therefore, you will be charged tax even if you later submit a certificate.

Parallax, Inc. has stringent quality control procedures in place to insure the best quality products.
RoHS Compliance
Parallax, Inc. certifies that, to it's knowledge as to the date of this document, specific products are manufactured in compliance with the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) European Union Directive 20021951EC.
90-day Limited Warranty
Parallax, Inc warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 90 days. If you discover a defect, Parallax, Inc. will, at its option, repair, replace, or refund the purchase price. After 90 days, products can still be sent in for repair or replacement, but there will be a $10.00 USD minimum inspection/labor/repair fee (not including return shipping and handling charges).
14-day Money-back Guarantee
If, within 14 days of having received your product, you find that it does not suit your needs, you may return it for a refund. Parallax, Inc. will refund the purchase price of the product in the same payment form, excluding shipping/handling costs, once the product is received. This refund does not apply if the product has been altered or damaged. If you decide to return the product after the 14-day evaluation period, a 20% restocking fee will be charged against the credit.

Warranty does not apply if the product has been altered, modified, or damaged. Parallax, Inc. makes no other warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness of the product for any particular purpose even if that purpose is known to Parallax, Inc., or any warranty relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights or other intellectual property. Parallax, Inc. shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or loss of profits resulting from the handling or use of the product shipped. A finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% annual percentage rate) will be charged on all past due amounts. Reasonable attorney fees will also be charged by seller in the event of any action proceeding for collection of the sums billed on the invoice.
How to Return a Product
When returning, you must first call for a Return Merchandise Authorization number. No packages will be accepted without the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the package. After inspecting and testing, we will return your product, or its replacement using the same shipping method used to ship the product to Parallax within 30 days. In your package, please include a daytime telephone number and a brief explanation of the problem.
